Telangana Biodiversity Board logo comprises of symbol and the name in a fixed relation with each other. One without the other is incomplete in depicting the true nature and meaning of the organization.
The design concept is drawn from the nature of the organization's activities. The symbol is circular, representing global nature of Telangana State Biodiversity Board, while simultaneously standing for the representation of the earth, from where our biodiversity existence originates. The colours and symbols have been carefully selected.
Green and Blue colours dominate the logo. These are life colours representing water, air and vegetation. The symbol is encircled by a golden sheath denoting the richness of Telangana in her natural resources and culture.
One third of the logo is dedicated for aqua based diversity. State Bird; Cracias benghalensis (Indian roller / Palapitta), State animal; Axis axis (spotted deer / Jinka), State tree; Prosopis cinneraia (Jammi chettu), and State flower: Cassia auriculata (Tangedu) are presented in graphical form along with the graceful Tiger (Telangana has two Tiger Reserves). Agricultural biodiversity is reflected in graphical form of a grain crop along with grasses/weeds.
The blue sky is alive with birds and butterflies. If one sees closely, the big central cloud dons the shape/contours of Telangana State. And above all, Bathukamma decorated with Tangedu flowers adores the logo giving a vital link between the Nature and Culture in rural Telangana. Over all, the logo is a celebration of vibrant biodiversity of Telangana State.
